Viscaria conducts operations and exploration activities in Viscaria, Arvidsjaur, and Tvistbo.
Viscaria (Cu-Fe)
The Viscaria Mine was previously in operation during the 1980s and 1990s but closed down when the demand for copper declined shortly before the turn of the millennium. Since then, needs have changed; society is transitioning towards renewable energy sources, and metals are a key factor in this transition.
Arvidsjaur (Zn-Cu-Au-Ag)
The Arvidsjaur project spans over 8,000 hectares in an area where exploration has been ongoing since the 1920s. However, it was not until the 1970s, under the management of Boliden Mining, that drilling began systematically.
Tvistbo (Zn)
In Tvistbo, people have been mining ore intermittently since the 1700s. Since Viscaria was granted exploration permits, the area has been surveyed through 38 core drillings.
